So while grocery shopping this last week I stumbled upon thin sliced beef, and had a brain child. I know a few things about Japanese food, so I threw together a recipe and this was the result! Thin sliced (almost shaved) beef, seared on relatively high heat, seasoned with salt and pepper. I made a quick veggie stir fry, this has snap peas, kale, carrots, brussel sprouts and something else I can’t quite remember. Made a quick stir fry sauce with soy sauce and oyster sauce and a pinch of brown sugar. White rice on the side, all garnished with green onion, and serve the beef with a sunny side up egg. In Japan, in some areas they dip cooked beef in egg yolk, so I thought I’d try it, and oh man, just two super small thin slices of beef feels like a rich delicacy! This will absolutely be making its way into our regular meals.
