I just baked the most AMAZING Nutella Puff Pastry Cruffins and you won’t believe how easy they are! Perfectly flaky, oozing with Nutella – it’s like a dream come true. 🥐🍫 Check out this quick reel to see how I made them!
2 sheets of frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package instructions
1 cup Nutella
1 large egg, lightly beaten (for egg wash)
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
**Preheat Oven and Prep Pan**: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Then, lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan with non-stick spray to prevent the cruffins from sticking.
**Prepare Puff Pastry**: Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to prevent sticking. If the sheets are adhering to each other, gently separate them.
**Spread Nutella**: Evenly spread about ½ cup of Nutella on each sheet, ensuring you leave a small border around the edges. This helps to keep the Nutella from leaking out when you roll the pastry.
**Roll and Cut**: Roll up each puff pastry sheet from the long end to form a log. Then, cut each log into three equal parts to make shorter logs. Slice each shorter log in half lengthwise, creating 6 pieces per sheet.
**Shape the Cruffins**: Take each piece and gently wrap it around your finger, forming it into a muffin shape with the layered side facing outward. Place each cruffin into the muffin pan.
**Egg Wash**: If you like a golden, shiny finish on your cruffins, brush the tops with the lightly beaten egg.
**Bake**: Bake the cruffins in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes. To ensure even cooking, rotate the muffin pan halfway through the baking time.
**Cool and Serve**: Once the cruffins are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the oven. Let them cool slightly, then sprinkle generously with powdered sugar for a sweet finishing touch.
