Is this severe downward curling and branch contortion on the top of my tomato plants caused by excessive heat? (more info in first comment)

I can’t think of anything else as its happening in both my old and new soil plus its been exceptionally hot for this part of the season. For the past two weeks since transplanting outside the temperature has been hovering around 33°C high and 27°low (92°f and 81°f).

On the other hand eggplant seems to be doing mostly fine. Does all of this point to heat stress or something else?
