    this is convergent evolution.

    Ramen is Chinese food eaten in Japan, migrated over from Chinese laborers who opened shop. Since Japanese cannot pronounce L, anything L is pronounce R. Ramen is Chinese La Mian noodles and are eaten with beef and often with chili oil and cumin which is known as Lanzhou La Mian and similar spices to birria.

    The moral of the story is, you’re eating something closer to the real thing. The western world has yet to discover the world of noodles.
