Went with the veal tartar, Grilled crab leg, lamb saddle and umeboshi cream cheese as extra dishes.
* First was sea weed crackers with curry macadamia nuts * Mushroom soup * Three amuse-bouche from bottom up: Broccoli with pistachio and passion fruit (could have been the recipe for a smoothie), Sardines with melon and a beef tartar with pears and Gochujang sauce * Crab with a tomato foam thingy * Kampachi with green rhubarb * First additional dish: Veal tartar with white truffle. If you like truffles this is great * Foie gras with dark chocolate and XO Sauce with a toasted breat also having XO sauce. Second favorite * Big shrimpy with a tom Kha sauce that really tasted like Thailand. Great * Second additional dish: King crab leg with miso hollandaise sauce. Was really good and super tasty. The pickled radish was kinda like ginger that you get with sushi * Yellow croaker – Only dish that i really didn’t like much wasn’t a lot of texture but the taste was great * Duck with potatoes and some blackberries. The thin layer of bread around the duck and the duck itself with the sauce was very good. * Third additional dish: Lamb saddle with gruyere and black currant. This was the best dish for the entire night. * Pallet cleanser basil kiwi sake sorbet * Wagyu with eel and caviar. Really good but felt super pay2win also not as good as the lamb. * Last additional dish: Creame cheese with dried raspberries in some yoghurt flake thingy. * Different takes of pear with a dulche de leche ice cream and a lighter blue cheese. Third favorite dish of the night. * Bunch of different deserts: Canele, cherry chocolate, passion fruit with coconut and a blood orange baba * Lego guy filled with the popping candy was funny and a dark chocolate
Verdict: definitely worth a visit if you are in Shanghai. Not my top 3 star restaurant but some dishes are on that level especially the pear dessert, foie gras and lamb
Total price: food: 2888 rmb, wine: german wine pairing 1980 rmb
