Or was I scammed?
I justbought this 23qt Presto for $100NZD. These are expensive and scarce in my area, I’ve been lurking on marketplace for months and this is the only pressure canner of any kind I’ve seen within a day’s drive.
According to the seller, she used it twice back in 2020 and it’s been in the box since. It does have an odor that reminds me of pickled something, but I’m assuming it’s from the seal and I can clean that. Should I be wary of anything else?

You got a very good deal, assuming the pot isn’t cracked or has pits in the aluminum. It’s about 1/2 the price of a new one.
I found one identical at a flea market — ostensibly unused for US$75 — earlier this year. We have used it and it works.

Wash it clean the rubber ring and go to work!! Great buy. It will give you years of great service
