New Orleans Native Charlie Andrews Gives a demonstration on how to make New Orleans Stuffed Bell Peppers. A favorite especially around the holidays. They are eaten all year long. Unlike others who put rice, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes in their Bell Peppers, our version Stuffed Bell Peppers calls for the use of the Green Bell Peppers only. We also make a stuffing that consists of Ground beef, Shrimp, Ham, crab meat, butter, breadcrumbs and my favorite New Orleans seasonings to create a one-of-a-kind Stuffed Bell Pepper that’s made only in New Orleans.   3. Try adding about a 1/2 lb smoke sausage ( cut in dices) and about 4 pieces of whole bay leaves. After cooking, crack one egg and stirr in well to keep moist in the inside, you may need a little more bread crumbs. A try drizzling a little margarine over the bread crumbs and bake until brown, that will give a crust on top and moist inside. Just a little something from the old folks recipe.

  8. I cook this before couldn’t remember how I don’t remember putting butter on top I will it’s this way can I use snow crab instead of ham

  9. can i use garlic and herb bread crumbs i dont have the chef paul seasoning they are out of it so i was going to use the garlic and herb bread crumbs to make up for that

  10. one more thing i might add i do not boil my peppers in doing so it brings more flavor you boil all the flavor out the bell peppers when broiling i use a tooth pick and check the firmness when stuffing them no preboil while baking

  11. Unfortunately my wife and daughter don’t like seafood so had to make some substitutes. Andouille sausage instead of shrimp and crab meat and beef stock versus shrimp. Lmao
