My canned navy beans all split. Whyyyyyy. So annoying. I did overnight soak and boiled for 30 mins. They weren’t split before pressure canning. 😮‍💨

  1. Don’t know! Any chance they were very fresh beans to start? I’ve had luck canning older dried beans… like ones that have been in my pantry for over a year. I figure since older beans usually take longer to soften anyway, maybe it helps them stand up to the intensity of pressure canning.
