So far Aeropress has been my daily driver and french press when I wanted my coffee in larger volume. This year Santa was kind enough to bring me V60 starter kit. It has been a joy to tweak recepies my favourite beans.
Interesting discovery for us is that the flavour improves when brewing stronger coffee and then watering it down vs using less coffee. So far imho Aeropress brews crispy and clear taste (brewing 2 minutes), french press (4 minutes brewing) makes coffee sweeter and this one is somewhere in between. The beans are somewhere in medioum roast and using water at 90°C. With v60 I use Hoffman’ technique.
I use virtuoso+ to grind my beans. Step 11 for most of my beans for aeropress, 14-15 for v60 and 27-28 for french press.
Does anyone have similar experience? Anything I miss and should change in my recipes?
