Am I missing anything on my food saver to be able to seal my cans? Struggling here
Been trying to get these sealed but the attachment to the foodsaver doesn’t seem to fit too well. Is there something I am missing?

You know this is only for shelf stable things like dry goods, right?
You don’t have the ring already on do you?
Sometimes stacking a second lid helps hold the first in place until you get the vacuum going. Also you could try rotating the hose connector at the machine just a touch, sometimes they leak. If I could hear the pump run I’d have a better idea where it isn’t working for you.

Make sure the hoses are pushed in tight. Did you buy the sealer and the jar attachments separately? My sealer came with a hose, and the jar things came with their own hose. All I mean is, if you’ve got two hoses, try the other one.
Try stacking a second lid on the first. For some reason it seems to help. Sometimes the second lid gets suctioned down to the first lid, but you can pry it off carefully with the edge of a knife.
When you’re frustrated beyond words with this, get one of these instead:
I agree with others about headspace, also wipe your rim / check for dents on the rim / and wipe the rubber part of the metal lid. You’ll want to place the lid on the jar first and then push the white lid firmly over the top, you may need to wiggle it a tad or push it evenly on all sides depending on your attachment. Also make sure it’s pressed all the way down. When the machine starts to vacuum, try adjusting the white top to see if you feel a pressure change (either by pulling or pushing down on it), you’ll feel the pressure change if it disengages or engages again.
If you’re still struggling, try to put the inner seal on the outside of the jar and then place the white attachment onto it. Also check that your inner seal of the white attachment isn’t backwards.
The narrow mouth has more issues than the wide mouth (lots of ppl on YouTube have shared tips). Some people put an extra metal lid gently inside the white attachment (in addition to the one on the jar) and for whatever reason it helps it seal.

As others said, only for dry goods. This odes not replace proper waterbath or pressure canning.
I use this for my “sun” dried tomatoes. It is hit and and miss. Usually when I pull it off, it pops the lid off too. Once the vacuum runs the process I do this now: pop out hose to release pressure on attachment, slowly take attachment off the jar but leave the silicone attachment ring around yhe jar, then remove silicone ring and put attachment back together. I only use it a few times a year but it’s definitely finicky.

Maybe wipe the hose attachment at all joints . I had one where the rubber was too old and didn’t make a good seal

Make sure you don’t just remove the suction cap with the hose still attached. After the vacuum has done it’s thing, pull the hose out first, then remove the cap.

Don’t know if this applies to your vac sealer. In addition to installing the hose thingy for the jar sealer, I have to also fasten down the lid for the bag sealer, just as if I’m going to seal a regular vac bag.
I think the pump pulls a vacuum on the jar sealer through the same path that it uses to pull a vacuum for sealing bags. I often forget that, since I don’t use the jar sealer a lot.

Use the hose that came with your machine.. make sure you press the sealer side hard until you hear a kind of click/pop sound. My machine side has a kind of cone end btw. Not smooth cylinder like the 3rd party hose attachment

It works best if you soften the sealing surface buy heating the lid in barely simmering water, make sure you dry them right before applying them. wiping the gasket surface with a damp towel on both the jar sealer and your machine so you get a good seal. Also make sure you press the jar sealer down on the jar so it is seated evenly. This process is only for dry products IE. Flour, sugar, rice, beans Etc. PS. with flour leave a couple of inches of head space, so the flour doesn’t get pulled into the sealing surface.
