Anyone have a tested cinnamon pickle recipe? I’m fascinated!

I don’t think this is a pickle. It looks like the red hot apples from the ball book.

I never canned them for shelf stable, but have done for the fridge (gram did shelf stable versions as a variant on tested bread and butter)
My grandmother started with her standard bread and butter pickle recipe, but added cinnamon red hots to the brine while simmering so they melted in, substuting for some of the sugar to taste. We pickled cucumbers, watermelon rind and apples that way when I was a kid lol.
Cinnamon red hots often found their way into crabapple jelly as well.
