Mushrooms and these are portella mushrooms so you literally just push your thumb onto this and it pops out so you’re left with this and you want to just scoop that out gently with a teaspoon is the best or you can use a knife press down gently with a spoon or the

Knife and scoop out so with these mushrooms you can either scoop out with a spoon or you can just pull gently on this stor kind of just wiggle it and it will come out she says there you go it does pop out some are a bit more difficult than

Others and then you would just scoop out the middle you can just leave it like that but if you scoop out a bit then it does give you that little bit more space to fill it gently push down and then just scrape very gently and we’re going to put this back into

The filling so I have here some bacon and I’ve chopped some onions up nice and small and I’ve I’ve also over here just steamed some potatoes you can boil them of course but I always like to steam my vegetables so the other ingredient we’re going to use is um I’m using cheddar

Cheese grated but you can use soft cheese if you wish it doesn’t really matter whichever your favorite type of cheese is so we just have some of that ready so now we’re just simply going to cut these little stems that were left making sure even though you’re doing

Something tiny like this make sure that your fingers are slightly bent so that I literally cannot cut myself even just slamming this down because this is slightly bent so doesn’t this look lovely when the onions are fried in the bacon juice it just makes it so nice I

Tend to cut the fat off some people love the fat so it’s up to you personal preference whether you want it on or not but I’m just going to cut it up with a pair of scissors and just chop little bits so into a bowl we’re going to put our

Potatoes and just cut them up with a a spoon you can mash them if you want you can season it with a bit of salt and pepper then we’re going to add some mushrooms in we’re going to add our fried onions it’s all different things you can do

With your mushrooms and I’d love to hear in the comments what kind of fillings that you might have tried I know some people do breadcrumbs but I thought I’d do it with some potato and we’ll put our bacon in doesn’t this look lovely if you love your mushrooms you’ll love this and then

We’ll put some cheese in and I kept some cheese behind just to put it on the top as I said you can use whatever cheese you like but I tend to use cheddar cheese cuz that’s my favorite this particular cheddar cheese is the red one but you can have white or

Red so now we’re going to get our mixture so now we’re just going to stuff our mushrooms so if you get one spoon and get the other spoon to push it into place just push it down gently and then you’ll see how nice this is looking all right with a smaller mushrooms have

Decided to use a teaspoon cuz it’s just easier to work with but again just place it nice and gently you can fill them up quite liberally i’ got plenty of mixture you can cook this in the frying pan or you can put it in the oven I’m

Going to put these ones in the oven to show you what they look like right so I’ve got just a small amount of oil in the pan I’m just going to spread it around a little bit you don’t want LS to place your mushrooms in your pan and you

Want it on a medium heat and then put the lid on after a couple of minutes I’m just going to take the lid off and I’m just going to put a little bit of cheese on the top and put the lid back on right I’ve just had these in the oven for 10

Minutes so I’ve just took them out so I can put a little bit of cheese on and then I’ll put them in there for another 5 minutes so this has been in for another 5 minutes and you can see they’re cooking really nicely you see the underside of

This um so what I’m going to do is just put it under the grill to just cook the top of this so these are the ones from the oven so just gently take them out and put them on your plate now these would make a perfect starter or you can

Have them for lunch or serve them with some chips or vegetables if you wanted a dinner you don’t have to put the cheese on the top but I like them with the cheese on the top okay so this is the fried ones so they do look slightly

Different they’re a bit drier than the ones in the oven but they’re both just as delicious look at That
