Irish Beef Stew Recipe

I was given this recipe by a friend, and I make it when I want a good stew. If you never made an Irish stew, you have missed out. With all the flavors and the added beer that gives this a Savory tast above the normal stew. It’s very good with rice.

Ingredients 

4 beef sirloin cut 1 inch thick

6 slice bacon

Oil

Olive oil

1 teaspoon each

Season salt

Salt

Pepper 

Thyme

5 garlic diced

½ large onion chopped 

2 carrots chopped

2 stalk celery

3 stalk green onion

2 bay leaves

2 tbsp flour

3 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup water

½ cup Guiness beer

3 cup beef broth ( powered broth in jar – add 3 tsp to 3 cups of boil water

Oil and a half a cup of onions four chopped Garlic chopped bacon this beef stew will feed at least six people chop carrots chopped celery make sure the bacon is brown on both sides 2 tablespoon of Flour one cup of Guinness beer I’m turning my heat up to medium high one teaspoon of thyme you will not taste the alcohol in the stew and two bay leaves the beer will come together with all the flavors making it a delicious stew I’m using three cups of

Broth that comes in a jar 1 teaspoon to 1 cup of hot water 3 tablespoon of tomato Paste one cup of Water I’m going to let this cook for 2 hours until the meat is tender every now and then give it a good Stir I turned it down down to medium low the stew has been cooking for 1 hour I’m going to add my last ingredient which is the green Onions the aroma is simply Divine and it tastes so delicious I’m going to add more salt and Cup I’m removing the bay leaves the stew cooked for 2 hours and now it is done and I also have a bowl of rice this stew can also be made with chopped sweet potatoes or white potatoes I chose to have rice today the beef is very
