    This was my first time baking sourdough after I got some starter from a friend. Bread was really good but lacked any sourdough flavor (just tasted like normal homemade bread) and was a little dense. Any tips to try?

    I mostly followed this video: https://youtu.be/QWiouzzCUcs?si=P0gKUiM1H1_SV9in

    300g water;
    10g salt;
    100g active starter;
    450g all purpose flour

    3 sets of stretch and pull, 30 mins apart;
    Rise for about 3.5 hours;
    Shape dough;
    Rest for 1 hour at room temp;
    Fridge proof for about 10 hours;
    Score dough

    Bake at 475 for 30 minutes with lid on;
    Bake at 425 for 10 minutes with lid off

  3. Looks good, longer ferment should develop more sourness, it works with my sourdough from my biga

  4. And here I am trying to get sourdough texture without the sour flavour 🙂

    Your bread looks and sounds good. I’d eat it 🙂
