The history of flatbreads extends back thousands of years to the civilizations of Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, and the Indus valley. The word naan comes from the Persian nân-e sangak, meaning “bread baked on [hot] pebbles.” In 1300 CE, Indian poet Amīr Khosrow documented two kinds of naan: naan-e-tunuk (light or thin bread) and naan-e-tanuri (bread cooked in a tandoor oven).(source: Britannica)
On this recipe, I used a naan bites that store bought. So, I can prepare it as an appetizer, or finger foods. I used the roasted chicken breast (store bought at deli department) and top it with spinach, shredded carrot, and cucumber with feta cheese and mayonnaise, to add a chunky, flavorful and cheesy taste, and very easy to prepare! 1 pack of naan bites (1 lbs.)
fresh spinach
shredded carrot
1/2 peeled cucumber that cut into halves
mayonnaise (squeezed on top)
feta cheese
