Now rusting through in spots. The rivets for the handle supports fell out a couple years ago… and now have mismatched nuts and bolts holding it together. This chimney has given me 8 years of service. I haven’t used lighter fluid for charcoal since I learned about a chimney 20 years ago. This one has contributed to many many good smokes and grills.
If you don’t have a chimney get one. If you don’t know why a chimney is used for smoking meat… then start smoking with charcoal! It tastes better and makes sure you’re forced to sit next to your smoker for the entire smoke haha

Speed holes. Gives it at least another 10mph.
Joking aside, I’m almost in the same boat. I have a new one ready for back up, but 15 of service has taken it’s toll.
Mine was nearing it, but the kids assisted by putting it under the car and I ran it over… 🫡
