I made a recipe from reddit added by u/puppetryofthepenis . Here is his instructions that I followed:
1 lb pork belly, skin removed, cut into bite sized cubes (set aside in long casserole dish)
in small pot, combine: 1 c cabernet sauvignon (I used the naked grape) 1 c sugar
cook, stirring frequently, to 260° (guys, get a candy thermometer. but if you don’t have one, wait until the bubbles begin layering up in small, energetic fizz)
pour immediately over pork. Cook in preheated oven at 400° for 35 minutes stirring often (like chex mix!) and then drain excess liquid from pan. Put pork back in oven for 12 more minutes to crisp the outside.
my mom is 60 and has never cooked with wine before. My daughter doesn’t even like pork. They were both pleasantly surprised to find out this is a really divine snack.
