Made a map of all the NYC burgers I’ve been eating and ranking for years now. Which burgers have I not eaten yet that I need to try?

  1. LMFAO (at myself).  Looked at your map, was going to go OFF on you for listing DAVE & BUSTERS as your top ranked burger, and something like the Burger Joint only an eight.

On reflection … assume you’re using a 1-10 score with 10 being perfect.

Will give thought to some additions.

Your list is NOT going to help my “eat better/lose weight” NY resolution.

This is very impressive list but too downtown Manhattan centric.

I’d recommend the dry aged burger at Dickson’s Farmstand. I thought it was better than Miznon but it’s been awhile since I’ve had theirs.

For an outer borough, give Forest Hills Station House a go.

Edit: lol I thought I was replying to a different comment than the main thread

  4. Check out Donovan’s in Woodside. Never had a bad burger there

  5. Winters1303

Not better than Raoul’s, but if you’re ever on the UES, Cafe D’Alsace actually has a pretty good burger (or at least used to).

  6. TerriblyRare

Did you do both the Oklahoma burger and classic from Hamburger America? I think the classic is better. I give the Oklahoma an 8 and the classic a 9.5

The burger at Emily in Brooklyn was delicious. Haven’t had that many burgers since moving, but that would be towards the top anywhere I’ve lived. My favorite part was it being on a pretzel roll, in my opinion the roll is the unsung hero to make a good burger great.

  8. Brindle Room is a godsend! They recently reopened after shutting down over COVID, and their caramelized onions go so well with the burger.

  9. The burger at the bar at Le B is great. I think it’s the same one the chef did at the Beatrice Inn.

You forgot the best current burger in NYC, at Lovely’s Old Fashioned on 9th Ave in Hells Kitchen.

  11. Szeth-n-SwordNimi

Diner in Williamsburg makes a good burger.

Also this post made me remember The Spotted Pig for some reason (R.I.P. to that classic burger spot).

Are the 4 Charles and monkey bar burgers that different?

  13. Select-Channel1645

MO’s burger in Harlem. Don’t sleep on Harlem for food !!

  14. So you consider Raoul’s
    burger to be the best?

Could you elaborate more on the reasons?

  15. sdotmills

Damn you have Wendys in front of PJ Clarke’s , brutal

  16. TypicalInformation89

How do you add the ranking icons in my maps?

  17. benashauer

What made Bernie’s only a 5? I thought that was considered one of the best in nyc

  18. FrankiePoops

Petey Burger in Astoria / LIC is a In n Out knockoff.

Also – I formerly used to recommend the gouda stuffed duck burger at Sanfords but it was awful the last time I had it.

  19. Brooklyn Burgers & Beer in Park Slope. Very generic name, but the burger punches way above its weight.

  20. McManus makes an amazing hamburger. The hipster transplant internet does not acknowledge NYC Irish pubs contributions to the hamburger

  21. laughingwalls

Gotham Social Club, in Lower East Side. They just opened.

  22. BusyBurdee

Emily burger is so overrated imo. Try Pete’s Tavern yet?
