Im honestly just curious, when influencers go to a restaurant and order all the popular menu items.. what do they do with the leftovers??? It seems wasteful but im sure they bring it home give to friends etc. Anyone have experience?

They take it to go or toss it out. There isn’t a blanket rule for what they do with the food.

Most influencers I feel travel in groups. More content, more collabs.
Also depending how much of a following they have a lot of the time the kitchen will send out stuff

Post Covid my network of friends in hospitality said there has been a spike of these types of diners having a typical experience. Then after they leave they claim food poisoning and either call to get comped or do chargebacks on their credit cards.

I do food photography for restaurants so it’s similar to influencers (w/o the flashiness) & I’m vegetarian, but it’s usually I’d take leftovers of whatever was edible & I could eat, or the restaurant/job of the day would make me something fresh (& low cost). Maybe a few times a year I would do the whole “free meal for exposure/positivity” or $ (3 course meal + drink), similar concept applies, but I’d typically pay/tip the whole cost of the meal anyways (& something extra for the wait staff). Dining out like that or work, I’m usually alone, unless if I have some helping hands.
Once in a while I’d save some food to give to someone unhoused/homeless, like pizza.
Rarely would I dump something, but OTOH by the time I get back home the food’s cold anyways and/or doesn’t look like what was ordered or prepped, I don’t mind.
At least you can be a bit more creative at home w/ your own flair to reheat/cook/stir fry.

Based on my time in service it mostly depends on the individual. I’ve seen influencers take two bites of each thing before asking for it to be taken/ thrown away, and I have seen influencers take their food to go.
