Let’s argue about The Infatuation’s best pizza list
Honestly? Not bad.

Plenty of great places on the list. Lost some respect for them leaving Joe’s off the list. Yes it’s still really damn good.

I’m so relieved to finally see Ops on someone’s best pizza list. (Maybe I’ve been looking in the wrong places, but I never notice them getting recognition.) They’re in my top three, for sure!

Does anyone know if Funzi’s/whatever it’s called now is actually in business? Had a great L’Industrie style slice but they’re always shuttered whenever I go by. I know they had an issue with not paying employees but thought that had been resolved?
elastic_aesthetic
I can’t gripe with this list too much. Everyone is gonna have a personal slightly off the radar fave they think is missing (mine is Luigi’s) but that’s not the purpose of a list like this.
thenumbersthenumbers
I’d throw Wheated in there.. but a decent list
ShwarmaSauce
F&F and Fini should be on there
LawsOfEconomics
I’d have made room for Roberta’s, but otherwise one of the better lists I’ve seen.
mbnyc1118
L’Industrie is my favorite has been for four years now.

i genuinely love Ace’s, some of the pies are weird as hell, but it works. i was shocked when GrubStreet left Ace’s off the list of pizzerias on its Williamsburg Pizza Alley article. anyway, generally agree with this list. i am also a big l’industrie person and i love the potato pie at mama’s too.

Coming in to plug La Rose on smith st that opened recently after wandering in over the weekend. If you’re a fan of Detroit style pizza this shop does it justice. Perfect squares with a crisp cheesy edge, and very high quality tomato sauce. Owner is a great dude too – slices available.
SomeDrillingImplied
Missing Fini, Luigi’s, F&F, Decades, and Chrissy’s.
I don’t understand the appeal of Cuts & Slices. Just doesn’t look good.

I went to L’Industrie yesterday and I’ve been a few times before. I genuinely don’t get the hype. I waited 30 mins (after ordering) for some pretty basic slices. Is there a particular slice I need to try?
I was showing around visiting friends who wanted to try some famous pizza places.
We went to Joe’s and Best Pizza before L’Industrie and everyone with us agreed that Best Pizza was our favorite and L’Industrie was the worst. Yet it had probably 50 people waiting in line.
Also don’t get why Best Pizza is never on these lists. They’re fantastic.
Sad-Cheesecake5301
joe and pat’s tri-pie is the universe’s gift to mankind.
Yogohan
Good list overall. But imo Paulie Gee’s (the sit down restaurant) should be there and ahead of the slice shop. Their braised fennel and guanciale pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.
scatgreen2
L&B is deservedly an NYC institution, and I love it, but I wouldn’t include it in my list of “best” pizza places.

Just happy Rubirosa is on it
HighkeyonLenox
Mama Too’s ❤️

scarr’s forever and ever.
but difara’s has unfortunately fallen soooo far from its glory. i’m saddened by it.
also, rubirosa is one of my most favorite sit down restaurants, but host staff couldnt be anymore rudely pretentious. this isnt berghain. its a fucking pizza shop.
Pyroboi10
List is aight. It’s missing Luigi’s in south slope, best pizza in Williamsburg and little pizza parlor in downtown Brooklyn
bitb0y
The fact that defaras is listed negates the whole list
EndorphinSpeedBot
You went real hard on the UTM params in the link my guy…
I do not understand the hype for Lucali. I recently had Lucali and it was not worth the wait or the effort. There are too many good places that don’t require you to stand on line for hours to potentially get a table. I also do not understand all the big branches of basil. 🌿 Fluffy decoration?!
HandjobCalrissian
Pretty good list, but I can’t believe we’re still hyping up Cuts & Slices. I’m genuinely happy for a neighborhood spot breaking through (I live a few blocks away), but it’s the most overrated slice in the city right now. Gimmicky as hell, and absolutely not worth the lines I saw last summer.
cellularATP
Do people not like John’s of Bleecker St? I always thought it was good but curious to hear if it’s not top 20.
bluerhombus24
honestly kind of shocked to see farina so hyped by the infatuation. went and was pretty disappointed. fini should be on here in its place – the white slice served with lemon is absolutely a Tier 1 Slice.
Love seeing Ace’s on here as well – their collab with Win Son produced some unreal pizzas and the detroit style slice is a nice change of pace from the standard (beloved) NY slice.
i have mixed feelings on Cuts & Slices. they produce amazing toppings but the crust just didn’t do it for me. overall though definitely a top slice, if only for the creativity of their toppings.
pretty solid list!
Prudent-Worry-2533
Leonardo’s in sunnyside. It’s new, but it’s up there with any slice in the city
georgejones13148
Krispy Pizza in Dyker should always have a place on these lists.
delmarz
Mano’s, Fini, Chrissy’s, and Ribalta deserve spots on the list.
Ledees_Gazpacho
My favorite slice isn’t on here, therefore, this list is bullshit!
scurvyderp
Had L&B for the first time last week. Very average pizza parlor-type pizza. Does not deserve to be on this list at all.
BigDonnyF
This list is missing Best Pizza and Philomenas
Shoddy_Reveal5789
Bleecker St. Or gtfo
Zulias
It’s a good list, but it needs Emmett’s, since that’s the only good Chicago Style pizza outside of Chicago.
DinerEnBlanc
Ok, but I see Di Fara on there. That place does not deserve to be on any best of list. F their burnt dense ass hockey puck pizzas.
TerriblyRare
Surprised to see Amore here when I think Lucia also in Flushing is the superior slice
Ok_Value_3741
Pizza Loves Sauce should’ve been on here but they’ll never pay attention to the (not viral yet) small mom and pops shops :/
RabbitContrarian
Farina is absolutely superb. Surprised they made it on anyone’s list so quickly. I was a regular at DiFara but they’ve not been the same since Dom passed. He didn’t train anyone to make it as he does. And their expansion has plunged their slice into mediocrity. Similarly, Pauli Gee was good but their slice shop is ordinary IMHO. My partner likes Lucia X but it’s merely ok to me. I think F&F is better.
BigOlSandwichBoy
Anyone else notice anything funny about the URL?
cmazou91
I agree it’s not bad. mama’s too is one of my favorites so glad to see it on there.
personally i don’t think scarr’s is that amazing but i know others love it so i understand why it’s on there
it’s missing johns of bleecker street which i’m sure was intentional given how well known it is but in my opinion that’s a top spot also
joe_gdit
Cuts & Slices? FOH. You aren’t making pizza better, you are making Caribbean food worse.
Fini should be on here.
benewavvsupreme
These lists are always the same. Williamsburg Greenpoint, classics you probably saw in a movie or tv show, tik Tok trendy pizza.
Large_Difficulty_802
Neapolitan pizza sucks

How to say you are new to NYC without actually saying it.
