My first time visiting NYC. A show at Radio City brought us there, but the food is what drove the planning. I did the best I could with only two days available and we left completely satisfied. Huge thanks to this sub for the help, both as a poster and a lurker! Would love your feedback or any questions regarding my experience/choices. Here we go:

1: Bourke St Bakery
– Shakshuka egg and feta danish
– Hazelnut and almond chocolate croissant

2: Tavern on the Green (brunch)
– Steak and eggs
– Classic eggs benny

3: La Tratorria Pizza
– Pepperoni
– Buffalo Chicken

4: Margon
– Cuban sandwich and fried plantains

5: Best Bagel and Coffee
– New Yorker
– Bacon, egg, avocado lime cream cheese

6: Au Cheval
– The burger of course (had to)

7: Magnolia Bakery
– Banana pudding (twice)

8: Nerai
– Dry aged strip steak with cauliflower purée (Saturday night’s special)
– Manitaria (mushrooms with zatar)
– Squid ink linguine with lobster and metaxa bisque

9: Caffé Palermo
– Mini cannolis (plain chocolate dipped, hazelnut, caramel, pistachio)

10: Falafel over rice from a random food cart (the only semi-letdown)

How was Tavern on the Green? The Infatuation likes to remind us somewhat often that it is their lowest rated restaurant. I’ve always figured they’re exaggerating, and it’s a bit of a joke by now, but I’ve never heard of anyone going.

That’s impressive. That’s a lot of food in two days

  6. That’s a pretty solid collection for two days.

  7. damn, even outside the hype food cart spots, theres a couple well known ones that wouldn’t have probably been a let down, unlucky!

The real question is: how much did you spend?
