This is the one I bought. The reviews made it seem like it would be legit
After 4 hours of grinding rice and salt, it STILL leaves crunchy dust particles in everything I try to make with it

It might just be a softer stone? What are you seasoning it with, rice and or garlic? Have you done the test yet to see if it holds water?
The natural air bubbles are always a good sign, pointing to likely natural stone. (Concrete with air bubbles technically exists too, but we’ve never seen it used in molcajete manufacturing yet. )
I would really be curious to see different molcajete stones measured on the mohs hardness scale.
