Gauging interest in a Steak & Eggs brunch club/meetup
Would fellow New Yorkers be interested in a Steak & Eggs brunch club/meetup?
Grass-fed ribeye steak and pasture raised/organic eggs.
Have the space and setup to host one if there’s interest.

for me, depends on the following:
* price per person? * time of the event and location. * what type of people would you want to attend these events? I personally like to attend events where I know im going to meet interesting and outgoing people. If the event is going to be a bunch of people that dont want to talk to one another or dont know how to carry one a conversation, then I can just eat at home.
I used to host food meetups before the pandemic and my attendee list was always curated from people in my network and their friends. b/c I want to make sure that if someone is going to spend any money to attend my event, i want to make sure they are having a great time and vibing with everyone else at the event. This is important b/c if you are going to be the one cooking, you cant be controlling the conversation and helping people talk to each other while they wait around. If you have people that are naturally extroverts and enjoy talking with strangers, then its one less thing you need to worry about.

A business model like this was attempted a few years back and the city quickly shut it down as a way of subverting restaurant laws. So I would just check on all that first.

I am definitely interested, especially if we get to announce our variations ahead of time or bring some of our own ingredients. Could be very fun.

Would there be different cuts of steak each meeting and different egg preparation?

Appreciate all the feedback and suggestions. There’s almost an even split in preference for a brunch or an early dinner, so will plan on a dinner in March and a Sunday brunch in April.
For March, would people prefer this Friday 3/15 or the following one 3/22? Also 6 or 7 pm?
Menu will be **salad**, **grass-fed ribeye steak**, **eggs**, **vegetable side**, **ice cream**.
Will experiment with different cooking formats, but the first one will be cast iron griddles on the dining table so each guest can cook their own steak and eggs to their liking (or host will cook it for those who prefer) . Guests can also bring additional ingredients.
TBD for cost based on final ingredients, but still aiming for around $20 per guest and definitely under $25.
