Ginza Shinohara**

Ginza Shinohara, two Michelin stars and a consensus top 3 Kaiseki restaurant in Tokyo by local food reviewers.

Extremely hard to make reservation unless you know a regular.

His hassun of the season is probably the best decorated in Tokyo and his hospitality and story telling is top notch as well (according to people fluent in Japanese).

Overall the food quality was great and a good deal considering it was only 43,000 yen after tax and service charge.

I wouldn’t say his cooking is top 3 in Tokyo but the combination of hospitality, good price performance and atmosphere takes it to the top echelon of kaiseki in Japan.

Is that an issue if one does not know Japanese? Have a reservation there later in the year.
