I knew about the mixed reviews of this place so I came in with tempered expectations. Honestly I still had a good time. They have a tasting menu at £195 but it was actually recommended to do the 3 course a la carte menu at £210.
Food: The 3 course a la carte sounds completely underwhelming but in actuality it was more like 15-18 courses. Most of the dishes weren’t the tweezer type of plating you would expect at a 3 star. But I would say everything was generally good without reaching very high peaks. If I had to pick an area they excelled at, it would be dessert. The thing that I enjoyed the most was the sheer quantity of courses. My partner and I ordered two completely different 3 course meals, so we both got to try about 34 different plates of food. Which I thought was fun and pretty insane. It felt like a fine dining buffet.
Service: Outstanding, almost overbearing but in an endearing way. Everyone there is extremely friendly. Timing of the courses were very in sync as well, I’m sure not an easy task with that many courses.
Vibe: The room is grand and luxurious but you won’t feel out of place if you’re not dressed to the nines. I did notice a lot of the patrons seemed to be from the US, it doesn’t seem like a place Londoners visit.
Summary: I personally don’t think they should be 3 stars, but they’re still an easy 2 star. That’s probably where most of the critique comes from. I wouldn’t prioritize a reservation here but you can still have a good time with the right expectations. Any spot that can execute 30+ courses of food well is alright in my book.

I beg to differ. Should be one star at best.
