I buy a few packs of canning lids here and there to make sure I’m prepared when harvest season comes. Well, when I think I’m almost fully prepared for this year my electric stove just up and explodes on itself. LoL. Big bang, fire and sparks everywhere.
But at least I have lids and jars. LoL

Noooooo! I’m so sorry that happened! I hope you have an operational stove again soon and you can share a picture of all these lovely jars filled!
Your stove went “Screw this, I’m outta here!” in response to harvest season and self destructed!
I know it’s bad timing, but it’s also really funny at the same time!
Your organization puts me to shame! I’m sure you’ll be back in business in no time!
Where do you buy your lids in bulk? 🙂
maybe it’s a sign to invest in a standalone burner? sorry that happened to you
Had a similar thing happen so I purchased a propane camp stove.
Made sure the burner would work on my pressure canners. Got the cast iron set to be a griddle and flat grill top. Installed push button ignitors. Upgraded the hose so it has a quick connect and caps, plus gauge to monitor propane tank. Added some magnets to keep the folding wing tables closed. Super happy with it. Makes it easier to do “stunt canning” at places not at home.
Lovely setup!
Mine did that in the middle of Christmas baking.
