The 5 course prix fixe menu ($87) offers choices for 3 of the courses, so we got to try 8 of dishes on the menu.

  1. House baked milkbread roll with butter

  2. Cured yellowtail with asian pear

  3. Beet tartare – Menu had a cursive font, thought this was supposed to beef tartare, the disappointment! Oh well, still tasted good

  4. Pasta course (all options are vegetarian)

  • Phytoplankton risotto – bland, wouldn’t recommend

  • Ricotta agnolotti with perigold truffle (+$25 supplement) – amazing

  • Did not order: Celery root ravioli

  1. Mains
  • Roasted pork – amazing, I don’t normally like pork but this was amazing.

  • A5 ribeye (+$40 supplement) topped with bone marrow sauce – also amazing

  • Not pictured: there are two sides that came with this course, also great

  • Did not order: Seared black cod

  1. Desert
  • “Spiced Chocolate” – Cinnamon sponge cake topped with pastry cream and ginger meringue. Pretty good

  • “Spring Forward” – Poached rhubarb, coconut sorbet and some kind of flavored ice – very good, nice and light

Overall between two people with two supplements, came out to $119.5 per person. Would highly recommend, well executed california cuisine with a good price point. Seems they change the menu seasonally. We picked our own “pairings” from their wine by the glass menu. 4 glasses of wine each, total with tax and 20% autograt came out to $500.

They have a 6 seat chef’s counter where they serve 8-10 course meal for $157, they are fully booked out for this (I think they open reservations 30 days in advance?). I’m very interested to go back for this if I can snag a reservation.
