I was so excited to use my new pie weights for the first time, I forgot the foil. Raw center with holes. Yum.

    Aw that is a bummer! As someone with a med free neurological condition, stuff like this happens to me frequently.

    Cover the edges in foil, pull out the pie weights, and stick it back in the oven. You can probably still save it!

    i did the same thing but i was using rice as the weight. so they were all just baked into the crust and i couldn’t even take them out

    An egg wash can save small holes in your crust! Remove the pie weights, then take the back of a spoon and smoosh the crust around to fill in the holes. Then, make an egg wash and spread it on your crust before baking for another 2 minutes. That will fill in any remaining holes.

    I’m not pregnant (because I’m 51 and don’t have those body parts anymore) but I do believe I absolutely would have done this

    Yesterday I filled my coffee maker with whole coffee beans….

    And just starred at it for a solid minute, trying to figure out what was wrong with what I was looking at.
