These recipes may be easy but they are delicious and besides when it comes to spending time with your family you do not want to be stuck in the kitchen all day well that’s what I’m for hey y’all I’m Valerie and welcome to my kitchen in today’s video I’m sharing five easy side

Dish recipes you can make for Easter okay y’all let’s get started this pepper jack potato casserole is a cross between traditional potato casserole and scalloped potatoes to begin in a large bowl you’re going to add in one can of cream of chicken soup I did want to show y’all I found this

Unsalted cream of chicken soup at Les I’m just using the regular but that unsalted one is definitely a great option if you’re watching your salt they sell it on Amazon too so I’ll leave a link to that in my description box below next we’re going to add in two cups of

Shre Ed pepper jack cheese I’m also adding half a cup of melted butter 1 and 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream and half a cup of sour cream by the way what are your plans for Easter do you do something big with your family or try to keep it kind of small

We’ll do something kind of small here at my house after church on Sunday but you know there’s going to be a lot of food on top of what what I’m cooking my daddy already has a list of stuff he’s bringing and of course we’ll be dyeing and hiding Easter eggs with the kids

Okay next you’re going to add in 1/4 of a cup of grated Parmesan cheese and for the seasonings I added half a teaspoon of garlic powder and half a teaspoon of onion powder and for the potatoes the recipe called for a 30 to a 32 oz bag of

Frozen shredded hash browns this one here is a 26 oz and it worked out just fine and you do want to try to use a larger bowl for this cuz it is a lot in here you’re just going to try to stir it until it’s well combined you can salt

And pepper this to taste I just did cracked black pepper just because I already had the cream of chicken soup and the cheese and stuff in here so just season it to taste I’m using a 9×13 for this you can spray it with non-stick spray or you can

Grease it with butter and I should have saved that paper that the butter was wrapped in some people use that butter paper to grease their baking dishes and now you’re just going to pour in that potato mixture and then try to spread it out into an even

Layer after you get it all in there and all spread out we’re going to set it to the side so we can make up a topping y’all know me every casserole has to have a topping in a mediumsized bowl I’m adding one sleeve of crushed Ritz crackers you’re also going to need half

A cup of cooked and crumbled bacon you can cook up some bacon if you want but I’m keeping it simple and using this 2.5 o package of real bacon pieces and I also added 34 of a cup of shredded parmesan cheese stir all this together and surprisingly the recipe didn’t call

For any melted butter in this so I was really curious how it would turn out and I forgot to add in the paprika the recipe called for one teaspoon I just eyeballed it and it looks like I got a little carried away there but it didn’t hurt a thing I

Really love smoked paprika I bet that would be really good on here and now you’re going to grab that potato casserole and sprinkle this topping evenly over the top look at me I didn’t sprinkle that that’s a lot of topping there I just dumped it all on and used my

Hands to spread it out now this goes into the oven to bake at 400ยฐ uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes this casserole was delicious I’m telling you it really surprised us it’s a great one you can make a head I would do everything except for the topping and then right before

You bake it add the topping this was really creamy and it really was kind of like scalloped potatoes a of course I had to try it as soon as it came out of the oven but after it sat for just a little bit it really thickened up it was

Cheesy I love the flavor of that pepper jack cheese in there and the topping was absolutely delicious this bunt pan cornbread is going to look so fancy on your holiday table and of course you’re going to need a bunt pan for this to that pan you’re

Going to add one stick of butter and then I’m going to place this in a preheated 375ยฐ oven until that butter is completely melted you got to keep a watch on it though don’t let it burn and while that’s in the oven melting away in

A large bowl I’m adding in two cups of self-rising cornmeal and thank you Daddy for letting me borrow yours I didn’t realize I was out and he saved the day I also added one cup of self-rising flour two eggs and two cups of Buttermilk you can season this however you like the

Recipe did for 2 tpoon of Cajun seasoning but I left that out and then just mix this until it’s well combined you can do it by hand or I’m just using my mixer cuz and I thought something didn’t look right there I had only added one cup of the buttermilk instead of two

That I was supposed to so after I added that second cup that batter looked much better I grabbed that bump pan that butter was completely melted and I don’t know why I did that I just swirled it around a little bit I guess to kind of

Get the butter up the sides to help it to not stick now you’re just going to pour that cornbread batter right in there in that hot pan with that melted butter and you don’t have to do this it will kind of level itself out but I

Tried to spread it out kind of evenly now this goes into the oven to bake at 375 for 35 to 45 minutes you just want to make sure that top starts to get golden brown and I let it sit here and cool for 5 minutes before I removed it

From the pan and that pan was still hot so I had to be careful and y’all this is my favorite part of making anything in a bunt pan I love it this came out perfect and I have to let y’all hear this crunchy crust and y’all that butter in here

Really took this cornbread to a whole another level I’m definitely going to make it this way again but I think next time I think I’m going to get Brave the recipe did call for the two teaspoons of Cajun seasoning I never add seasoning to my cornbread but I really do think I’m

Going to give it a try and that’s what’s really fun about cooking and baking you can change things up and make it your own if you see something in a recipe that you don’t think you’ll like try to leave it out or substitute it with something else and if you think it

Needs a little something extra experiment that’s what makes it fun if you’re W to have a low carb option this broccoli cauliflower salad would be perfect I’m starting out in a large bowl you’re going to add in half a cup of mayonnaise and I’m just using Dukes that’s our favorite but just use

Whatever you like and just keep that close by cuz you may need to add a little more at the end next you’re going to add in 1 tbspoon of apple cider vinegar along with 1 tblspoon of sugar or you can do like me and use a sugar-free substitute I really like this

Swerve and I get it at Walmart now you’re just going to mix this together until it’s good and combined now you’re going to add in four cups of broccoli fettes and four cups of cauliflower fetes you do want to chop all that into small tiny bot siiz pieces

That’ll make it a whole lot easier to eat you’re also going to add one cup of sharp cheddar cheese cubes you can buy it already cubed up but they are kind of a little bigger so I just used the block and cut them into tiny tiny cubes next

Add 34 cup of cooked and crumbled bacon and half a cup of salted chopped almonds I found a bag of sliced almonds in the pantry so I just Ed them for the onions the recipe called for 1/3 cup of chopped red onions my store was out of red

Onions so they substituted me with shallots and listen onions have not ever really bothered me but these shallots made me cry like a baby they were good but oh mercy they made my eyes water I got all that mixed together and I felt like it still needed a little more

Mayonnaise so I added in some more then you’re going to stir it all together and I like to cover it and place it in the refrigerator to chill until I’m ready to serve it this was so good and my Mima was over this day and she loved it and you can

Make this ahead of time that’s just one less thing you have to do the day of your dinner and besides I feel like the longer this sits the better it gets and if you don’t care for cauliflower you can do all broccoli but we loved the cauliflower in here have y’all ever made

Broccoli salad I’ve had it at dinners and stuff but I’ve never made it myself until this day but I loved this recipe we love green beans and this French onion green bean casserole was a winner to begin in a large bowl I’m adding one cup of the French onion dip

If you don’t have this though you can do 1 cup of sour cream and half a packet of onion soup mix I’m also adding 1 can of cream of mushroom soup now to that I’m adding one cup of shredded cheddar cheese and half of a 6 oz package of french fried onions we’re

Going to save that other half for the topping I love this recipe because it’s only five ingredients and that makes it so simple and I’m just giving this a really good stir before I add in the green beans I’m using four cans of whole green beans I did drain them very well

And you can also use the cut the French d or even the Italian now to stir that up to get all those green beans completely covered in that mixture you’ll need a 9×13 baking dish and you do want to spray it with non-stick spray it looks like I forgot

Have never heard of that but I looked it up and I can’t wait to try it this no bow mac and cheese really got my attention you’re going to need a food processor or a blender I’m using my ninja So to that blender you’re going to

Add one cup of cottage cheese and two cups of milk and for the seasonings I did half a teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of pepper and if you want you can also add in 1 teaspoon of mustard now puree this or blend it all together until it’s smooth and

Creamy and just in case you’re curious about using lowfat cottage cheese in here I don’t really recommend that in the recipe said to use a 9in square pan but I have this 7 by 11 baking dish so I decided to use this you’re just going to pour in that milk

And cottage cheese mixture and then you’re going to add in 8 oz of uncooked elbow pasta okay y’all you’re about to see a lot of cheese here now you’re going to add in three and 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese I mean this is a mac and cheese

You can’t go skimpy on the cheese you’re just going to give this a quick little stir and I decided to add in a little more pepper and also I always add a little butter to my mac and cheese so I sliced up about 2 tablespoons worth Into Thin

Slices and place it evenly over the top now you’re going to cover this tightly with full and it is important to get it covered nice and tight then you’re going to bake it at 375 for about 30 minutes and after 30 minutes you’re going to remove it from the oven remove

That full and we are going to put this back in the oven but first give it a really really good stir and make sure you scrape it away from the sides and all the bottom you don’t want it to stick and before you put this back in

The oven you’re going to sprinkle L about a half a cup of shredded cheddar cheese and now you’re just going to put it back into the oven to continue to bake for another 30 minutes you’re just looking for that top to get golden brown this was so good and I do have to

Say this was not as creamy as I expected it to be the name of the recipe is creamy Noble mac and cheese now don’t get me wrong it was so delicious but some people don’t care for the creamy things I know one thing this mac and cheese was definitely cheesy we loved it
