Recently went on a trip to Kyoto, Japan and was able to dine at Ryosho, a two star Michelin restaurant in the Gion district of Kyoto that opened in January of 2022. I was able to get the reservation through Tablecheck. The restaurant had seating for 8 people at the counter and I believe there was a small private room.
When I dined at 6:30, it was just me and two others. Chef Fujiwara prepared many of the 10 courses in front of us and was very attentive and the service was great. Every dish was delicious and spanned not just traditional Japanese techniques, but others as well. I really enjoyed the grilled cutlass fish (which he grilled in front of us) and Tairagi dishes.
All in all, for $300 USD (this includes wine and sake pairing), this was quite worth it and very memorable dining experience.

Was the Dom part of the beverage pairing or extra?
