The only Tabelog Gold Sushiya available to foreigners. Speaking of, I was the only foreigner there for last night’s 20:30 slot. Chef Daigo Sakai was incredibly welcoming as was his staff. Even though this is top of the pops, the atmosphere is pretty casual…you can talk to and joke with chefs as well as other guests. The draft beer, wines were excellent. My personal highlights were the Ablone, Uni + Caviar + Dashi & Vinegar, Scallop with hints of lemon zest and salt, different tuna cuts, and Uni from Hokkaido. Overall, an excellent experience for anyone wanting to experience the very best in fish and service in Japan.
44.000Yen + 6.000Yen for 2 beers and two glasses of wine. Considering the weak Yen, this is fairly “affordable” at the moment for people from Europe or the US.
