I went to San Sabino last weekend and wanted to share. 1) Scottie’s martini:
Garlic Bread Vodka, Spicy Brine, Giant Olives stuffed with feta and dipped in spicy tajin
– not for the faint of heart but if you’re like me, and enjoy savory drinks with spicy briny flavors, you’ll love this! 2) 🦪 oysters: Neapolitan pomodorini and horseradish. It had a bright citrus flavor that was delicious! 3) TRICOLORE SABINO
Piave Vecchio, Nori, Green Garlic
My favorite dish of the night. 4) PASTA ALLE VONGOLE
Manila Clams, Aji Amarillo- this dish felt very heavy and oily to me, also heavy on the salt. 5)
Lobster triangoli:
White Vodka Sauce, Black Garlic
🦞 this dish was so decadent and i’m glad we shared everything because I don’t think I could have eaten more than just one of the pasta triangles. Overall, I thought the experience was great. The food was good and very typical Don Angie flavor profiles. I’ve been to Angie several times and I think if you don’t like your food on the salty and heavy side, it can be a bit much. I love seafood as well, but often prefer lighter starters. Overall worth checking out at some point if convenient. The cocktail menu was amazing- I also had their version of a spicy margarita and that was delicious.
