Went to Whataburger in Texas a long time ago and it was my favorite fast food burger. They opened ine near me in GA recently and the quality was thru the floor. Basically a McDonald’s burger. Made me think of the scene from Falling Down. I will not go back.

I’m from the northeast and there are no Whataburgers up here. I did however try it out when I was in Texas and I thought it was terrible. Especially the buns. They were like bricks.

The only good thing at Whataburger anymore is a Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich. It’s hard to mess up chicken, sauce, and cheese. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they found a way to do it!

Whataburger got bought out from the family by a Chicago PE firm in 2019, and rapidly went downhill as the PE firm is focused more on expanding the footprint than a decent product.
