hello and welcome to dish dish today we’re going to dip some strawberries in some white and dark chocolate this makes a great valentine’s day treat as well as just any nice dessert for a special occasion it is so simple and easy to do you are going to love it i started out with these melting wafers from ghirardelli but you can use any brand that you like we melted them down in the microwave just 45 seconds at a time until it’s nice and thin and a good texture for dipping you can see that these came out really well and so we’re going to take our strawberries now which i’ve washed and pat it dry and dip as far close up to the greens as we can at the top so we get as much chocolate on there as we want let it drizzle for a minute and we’re just gonna set it on some wax paper to let the chocolate harden so we’re going to do that with each of these strawberries kind of keeping the greens out of the way letting them drip a little bit and setting them on our wax paper see how simple and easy this is and they’re already looking delicious the chocolate will harden up nice and give it a glossy texture and they look beautiful i’m gonna do a couple more here in the white chocolate for us so we can see we’re gonna get it it’s kind of moving around so we get it close up to the top here and lay those out sometimes i like to dip them twice because the chocolate just gives a better coverage and especially with the white chocolate sometimes i’ll let it dry and then dip it one more time just to give it a really good coverage but once it’s sufficient as well especially if you’re running a little bit short on time making sure that the strawberries are dry is really important because the moisture will tend to make the chocolate not set up as well and there now we have some beautiful chocolate dipped strawberries now i know you’ve been in the stores and you’ve seen them with that beautiful drizzle over the top and probably thought oh my gosh i could never do that myself but it is so easy i’m just going to take a fork any size fork you like swirl it around in our chocolate a little bit and just kind of wave it across our strawberries doesn’t matter if it gets on the greens or on the dark chocolate or the white chocolate it doesn’t matter what kind of pattern you use or making a little bit of a mess but it’s going to look so cool even on the white strawberries it just kind of provides a little bit extra texture and we’ll drizzle a little bit of the dark chocolate on there as well in a second so you can see how simple that is voila we have a really nice decorative pattern on our strawberries it makes them look fancy and tremendous for any kind of upcoming event and if you have people who are allergic to dark chocolate you could just use white or what other avenues you might want to try but this is so simple and easy and looks like you spent tons of time getting it all ready very nice and that is how simple it is to dip chocolate covered strawberries and now here you see our chocolate dipped strawberries all plated nicely with some homemade fresh whipped cream ready for your valentine’s day or any upcoming special occasion for more dessert recipes come check us out at dish dish dot us link in the description and don’t forget to like subscribe or comment on our video thank you and happy dishing you
