I had a friend buy some questionable patties once. All organ and hearts. Looked just like these and no amount of seasoning I used got rid of the iron taste.

I mean it doesn’t look God awful, based on the outside I think you may have overworked the meat and my personal opinion I would have cooked it medium rare “but you do you, I’m not going to judge what others eat…..just don’t feed me a well done burger. Lol” My tip is next time, work the meat less, the least worked the better, you only want to work it till the patty can hold its shape. Also you like well done burgers, try cooking them on lower heat so the outside doesn’t start to burn.
