Last week I asked my soon-to-be 7 year old what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday, thinking he would give me a flavor. Instead he said a blue Nike sneaker. 🤦🏽♀️ I did my best, kid. She’s got a heavy lean, but she’s standing!
I will say, making my own marshmallow fondant was worth the extra stress! Surprisingly easy to work with for a first timer and actually tastes pretty good. Although I’m already afraid of what he’s going to ask for next year. 😅

That looks awesome. And when he gets older and into his edgier phase, you can make the same sneaker with a foot inside. It could have little pretzel pieces for the bones, jelly for the blood, kind of like how they make the Voodoo Donut at its namesake donut establishment

I literally had no clue scrolling past this that it was a cake. I was like what is the lonely shoe post about…ohh they had a breakdown because they lost their shoe…ohhh that’s cake 🤦🏻♀️
