I did not realize my baking powder was expired and my cake came out sunken in on the middle. I also think I frosted too quickly and didn’t wait long enough for cool down. Oh well, still tasted good!

If it were baking powder, it wouldn’t have risen at all. Chocolate cake with very thin batters will do that sometimes but this looks yummy.

fwiw id rather eat that then half the “perfect” looking stuff people post on here. and no shade to them, its just too much frosting, fruit, and those super hard sprinkles that I would never enjoy (the big balls and non perrels or whatever)
as far as cakes though, this one is perfect to me.
also.. theres something about a homemade cake that you can tell is homemade. it just hits different.
