I used toasted sesame seed and shichimi togarashi to flavor the outside. No filling.
I use a heavy hand with Japanese 7-Spice I am sure. I’m from the American Southwest so I really like spicy food lol
I didn’t mix the spice well. You can see a lot of the spice on the first rice ball and mostly sesame seeds in the back haha.
It’s ok though, the taste is good and it’s more practice.

It certainly has an artistic appeal that mine, I admit, don’t.
I would stink as a Japanese housewife; partly because I can’t do both the flavor and the appearance thing that is so prized, but mostly because I’m a guy.
