I ate this dish last time I was in Japan, it was cooked in front of us on a large grill and was sooo good, I want to have it again but can’t remember what it is called to search! Is this a particular style of food?

Teppenyaki is a lot better than the UK version- scrambled egg topped with steak with a smattering of corn flakes

As everyone here has mentioned, beef teppanyaki chahan. For the second dish, you’re supposed to add the tare (sauce) and kinda give the moyashi and beef a quick stir fry to mix everything up.
