15 pieces okra
¼ lb. ground pork
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 pieces tomatoes
1 piece onion
5 cloves garlic
1 cup water
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons cooking oil

For our episode, we will cook an easy recipe, using okra. It’s also delicious and budget friendly. Sure, you can wash it but careful with the rice. It’s called sauteed okra with ground meat But it was strange when we did it because I didn’t slice the okra. As it were, I cooked it whole. Precisely because it is still fresh. Just bought from the Asian Store. Another thing here, I put chili to make it a bit spicy. That’s why you can eat more rice. If you’re ready, I’ll tell you how I did it. First, I’m just talking to you. Simply saute garlic. As for the garlic, I crush it first and chop it afterwards. I think you should use almeres here or just use the Panlasang Pinoy knife. Just at the beginning of the garlic put the onion right away. Because if you leave it alone, the garlic will burn quickly. We don’t want it to overcook. We don’t want the garlic to turn brown before adding the onion. Because it might be good. So the garlic used to be made, We don’t want to overcook it. So we used to do this with onions, huh? Just cook it until it’s soft If you really want the smaller onion, that’s okay that’s okay Then I put the tomato here. Still the best of course, use ripe tomatoes. I just want to ask you, when you cook tomatoes, have you removed the seeds? My preference is mine, when cooking tomatoes like this, removing the seed But when the tomato is eaten raw, for example this ingredient in salad, I will remove the bone there. Nothing, that’s just a preference. So I just sauteed this tomato until it was good. And I did put in this ground meat. So the meat I use here is pork. I can use ground beef here or ground chicken. Or if you are vegetarian, maybe I can use tofu here. So just crumble the tofu before frying. And when it comes to our seasoning, I put soy sauce on it. After adding soy sauce, I just saute it for a minute. Then this, water. water is for what? why boil it? Well, two reasons. The water will become the sauce and at the same time, we still need to boil it because not because the pork is already ground, it’s soft already we still need to simmer it to really be super soft. The kind when you eat it, you don’t have to chew the ground pork, right? As if it’s melting in your mouth. That’s why, I just stir it until the liquid evaporates completely. And I put the okra here. If you noticed, I don’t slice it The other one is cut in the middle so that the okra becomes two pcs or thinly sliced. When you cut the okra, the slime will definitely come out of there in just one click. Well, I know not all of you are fans of okra slime, but you want to eat okra, right? That’s why, I just chose cooked okra completely like that. That’s it, it’s just a quick stew, just 2 minutes so that the okra does not crack. When it cracks, the slime will also come out. I added oyster sauce to it, but that’s just an optional ingredient, eh. If you put oyster sauce on it, the dish will be very tasty here. The type that will make you eat more rice So, what, no blaming, ok. But of course, to balance, I also add water So if you want a sauce for what you are cooking, you can add a little more water. Then others like it a bit thick. So in that case, just mix a little water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Then that mixture, the one called slurry, just put it here, it will thicken. So this chili, it won’t be too spicy the dish, because I don’t chop or crush the chili Otherwise, I’ll just eat it whole if I want it really spicy. It’s good here with a bit of spice, eh.
