I bought these thinking they looked like an interesting snack to try, but upon further inspection, I'm starting to believe these may be cat treats. I tried Google lens but it wasn't very helpful. Can anyone please help me figure out if these are cat treats or not?

I would venture a guess and say it is what the bag says at the bottom there. If my eyes do not deceive me, this is bite-sized dried squid.
I was a bit thrown by the title since it says in English what it is – but reading your full post, I can see why you might think they were cat treats. 😂 My cats would have tried to steal them I bet.

They are human-grade snacks, generally consumed with alcoholic drinks (think bar snacks). Of course you can eat it on its own.
It says in English at the bottom “dried squid”. It’s a snack people eat with drinks.
Cat is neko ねこ or 猫 in Japanese, I don’t see that anywhere on the packaging, squid jerky is definitely something humans commonly eat in Japan.
