Made my MIL a bday cake

I learned that my MIL’s family doesn’t do very much for her birthday so I made a special cake just for her and surprised her at work! It’s a vanilla bean sponge with a brown butter peach compote (her favorite fruit). The vanilla bean buttercream palette design was nice and thin around the cake which was perfect because she’s not a frosting gal! I’m in the midst of opening a market and artisan sandwich shop with my husband and she has been so helpful watching our daughter so we can chisel away at our shop. Happy to report she was beyond surprised and was happy to see us come visit her and rub it in her coworkers faces 😂😂😂
