I canned some carrots from my garden today and every single jar has a buckled lid. Can they be saved?

Recipe came from the Ball book, 43(?) Edition. Canned today on 22.JUN.2024 at 7am.

And it is safe to reprocess the carrots within 24 hours. You can remove the lids and reprocess. It’s in the book.

The bands were screwed down to tight so the pressure had no where to go. Typically you can reprocess but it might affect the taste or quality. I’m new myself but there was a post yesterday where someone did the same thing to green beans.
I have seen a few people suggest finger tight and just tightening the bands without holding the jar until the jars start to spin on a counter

It could also be the lid quality. What kind are those?

If it’s not a ring tightening issue, it’s most likely the quality of the lids. I recall people buying inexpensive lids from Amazon when Ball/Bernardin ones were scarce or really expensive. These cheaper lids were thinner and had inadequate sealing compound, which led to much higher failures.
