I’m genuinely curious. It’s supposed to be a ribeye. Could anyone make this taste good?

If I had one like that I would make beef stroganoff or boeuf bourguignon.

And you paid real money for this thing? Is it edible?

This reminds me of Guga’s endless quest to make eye round tender 🤣🤣🤣

Not a ribeye, probably an eye round. Sear it, cut it up, and throw it into a slow cooker with some veggies and seasoning and make a stew.

I’ve had way better looking top sirloins…that’s wild they identified it as ribeye.

No no, they said the cow had ribs and eyes. It’s not the same thing.

This doesn’t look like a ribeye at all.

I used to think this meant the steak was good. I had no idea what marbling meant or why it was important. Boy am I glad those days are far behind me now.

To me this looks like a steak I used to have to cut when I first started my meat cutting career called a full round. It’s essentially a boned out hip sliced whole for steaks. This looks like that only the outside round is missing. I could be way off though.

  10. When life hands you tough meat, make bolognese…

Here in Uganda I’d make a nice steak and eat it for 2-3 days. Theres a saying in my village: “for bad dancer the balls are an obstacle.” Season it, fry it and shut it afterwards… – No offense

Should have ground it up with some additional fat for hamburger meat.

Just saw a post about a dude getting steak at dennys 🤷

Round rib-eyes are usually very tough.

Better prepared in the slow cooker.

As others have said, my immediate thought is that this is eye round, not a ribeye. It would further explain your eating experience if true, OP.

That looks like a round cut, not a ribeye.

That one from Denny’s earlier was pretty bad…

After seeing an A5 Wagyu, Thanos created this steak with the Reality Stone to keep the world in balance.

The veins of marbling have been replaced with threads of Dark Matter that hold the ribeye together, unyielding to even the sharpest blade.

Low and slow for that one.

And then into a pot of chili.
