We are petsitting and went to the local grocery. These were labeled as "Denver cut", which we bought the previous night and it looked nothing like these.

Some dudes gonna be pissed about seeing a Denver cut at wagyu price

🤯 Is this why the Loch Ness monster was asking for tree fiddy? lol

Those are garbage. Like even if they don’t make you sick they’re going to be tough and taste like ass. Now your local store is probably going to be jerks if you try to return them, so I’m a generous soul. You should give them to me, I’ll give you what you spent and feed them to my animals.

  4. Isn’t it just cut out of the chuck roast? So a slow cooker meat, not a steak for the grill.

I was gonna ask if they were called Denver steaks because they’re 0.420lbs, but I see that the bottom one is a little smaller than that. 🤣

I would cut this up, boil it and make a stew, then feed to the dog.

These are the cuts store employees usually take home for themselves. I think they look good and for that price!

  8. Chuck sous vide for 24 hours is poor man’s ribeye.

Throw this trash away. By the way, I have a trash can you can use. You wouldn’t want to smell this disgusting stuff rotting in your vicinity, trust me

  10. They can be excellent cooked on cast iron. I like them, especially for the price.

Anyone saying they suck either doesn’t understand the concept of cooking something differently, or they think the only good steak has the consistency of beef flavored jello and chewing is a foreign concept to them.

Short answer is yes, they look like they’re worth what you paid.

Problem is going to be how little flavor they’re going to have. The spread on the marbling is good, but there’s almost no fat for a full cook

I’d personally marinate these and probably cook them in the crock pot. Slice them thin afterwards for cheese steaks.

They’ll eat just fine if you do them up like regular steak, but you’re going to want a sauce.

Ok lots of jokes in here, love it. But, to my untrained eye, these looks delicious af. Why would these ever cost 3.50. I’ve never seen any cut of beef cost 3.50. Did they miss a decimal place? What actually happened here. I wouldn’t expect to see these anywhere that sells a 3.50 piece of beef. I’ve never seen something that looks this marbly

As long as you know how to prepare it and cook it properly Denver cuts are nice
