A few months ago I visited Japan and engaged with a lovely family who showered me with Japanese gifts and food lol. They gave me several of these items in different flavors, i’m assuming. They said when I asked what they were was “Soup”. I’ve tried googling to find a brand or anything about them but it’s hard when I don’t know much Japanese 😅. I’m not sure how to cook or prepare it or what to eat it with, so if anyone has any idea or information, that would be greatly appreciated!

Yea it’s soup. Break the eatable outer monaka shell into smaller pieces, inside there will be some dried soup stock, red snapper and Kujou negi. Pour ~160ml of hot water, mix, and enjoy (you can adjust the amount of water to your liking)

Throw it in hot water and see what happens
