First time making these. I struggled with cutting the dough into slices of even thickness. Making the cookies on a hot day didn't help either. I tried placing the dough in the freezer several times, alas… hahahahaha All in all I'm pleased with the result 🙂

These are so beautiful!!! I’ve seen the color blocked ‘quilt’ cookies on insta reels recently and I’ve been dying to try them, but they look pretty advanced. This checkerboard pattern looks like a great way to test the color blocking without having to commit to six different colors of dough lol! Things have been difficult for me recently and this just brought on a mini wave of creativity with a smidge of hope and positivity on the side. Anyways, cheers to you friend!
