There are some benefits to gardening in a colder climate. Garlic maturing later and a cool basement equals still eating last year’s garlic almost until the fresh crop is ready. Admittedly, they are not as crisp as they were a month ago but still better than what you get in the grocery stores.

  2. Do you plant some of the harvested ones for next year? Or do you buy new bulbs yearly?

    I was debating freezing some this harvest to cover that gap.
