Green bell pepper. Outdoor, only growing 1 pepper . Is that because it’s coming out of center stalk and it’s hogging up all the food?

If there’s more buds or flowers, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. Can’t tell by the pictures.

I always pick the first pepper early, in hopes that others will have a chance to grow.

If the plant isnt growing as much, the reason will be lack of sun, lack of water, lack of soil depth/not enough root room. Stuff like that. It wont be from 1 pepper or where its growing.

I have one of those too. I’m going to pick it tomorrow and hope I get more

  5. Bell peppers be like that. I’ve never had one that was especially prolific.

As others have said, if you pick it, it will probably trigger more buds.

I always thought you had to just pick the first one to give the rest a chance while the plant itself is still growing.

Peppers can be pinched to produce lots of new leaves and flowers as well. But most people aren’t don’t that. I did it this year and it’s a great jungle now.

  8. Where I am, they never produce more than max 2. I don’t grow bell peppers anymore. I prefer to grow the mini snack peppers. They always end up loaded with fruit, especially the orange ones for some reason.

King fruit should be removed when it flowers. Allows the rest of the flowers further up to develop easier

Its like that because it’s a big bell pepper and it takes a lot of energy to produce

Not enough P and K. When you see first flowers you change your nutrients to a bloom booster and the plant will begin to produce lots of flowers.

Just curious, what’s the weather been like where you live? I’ve also got only 1 pepper per plant and thinking it’s weather related.
