Here is another review of a wine under 25$! I bought this Cabernet for 29$ CAD, which is around 22$ USD.

Great cabernet, I was anticipating a big and bold wine like South Australia often delivers, but this was surprisingly balanced. Me and the gf loved it.

On the nose there was a lot of cherries, some oak but a subtile amount. On the palate, this was grippy but not too much, it was concentrated and fruity, but with a nice touch of acidity to balance it. Great wine, cabs are usually food wines but we ended up drinking the other half of the bottle while playing cards, jt goes down like a concentrated pinot noir almost!

You’ll find McLaren Vale cabs are a little more cool climate style, less robust and I would say more refined that your traditional Coonawarra cabs etc. If you like this style hunt down some cab from Clare Valley, Yarra Valley. Two Hands also do some awesome single vineyard shiraz/syrah. Enjoy!
